How to Get and Use Ethereal Wings for Flight

Ethereal Wings are the mod's main flight trinket, letting you glide or fly without needing a full Elytra setup. Getting them usually means exploring, trading, or finding them as loot rather than a simple crafting recipe, so check dungeon chests and structure loot while you play.

Equipping the Wings

Once you have Ethereal Wings, they go into a trinket slot rather than your chestplate slot. Open your inventory and look for the trinket slots added by the mod (often shown as extra slots near your armor). Place the Wings there. If you have a trinket slot mod like Curios installed, the Wings will appear in a dedicated slot category.

Flying

With the Wings equipped, jump and then hold your jump key while in the air to start gliding or flying. The exact behavior depends on whether the Wings give creative-style flight or Elytra-style gliding. If they behave like Elytra, you need to be falling to activate them, then angle downward to gain speed and pull up to climb. Practice over flat ground or water first so a mistimed dive does not kill you.

Tips

• Combine the Wings with a fire resistance or water breathing trinket for safe travel over lava and oceans.
• Keep some food or a slow-fall option handy in case you run out of momentum mid-flight.
• If the Wings stop working, check that they are still in the trinket slot and not broken or unequipped.
