How to Avoid Fire and Explosion Damage with Blaze Nucleus and Explosion-proof Jacket

Nether trips and creeper ambushes are two of the biggest threats in Minecraft. This mod gives you trinkets that specifically counter both: the Blaze Nucleus for fire and the Explosion-proof Jacket for blasts.

Fire Resistance with Blaze Nucleus

Equip the Blaze Nucleus in a trinket slot to gain fire resistance while it is worn. This means lava, fire, and blaze attacks will not kill you as long as the trinket stays equipped. You can walk through fire and swim in lava briefly without burning. Note that fire resistance does not stop fall damage or drowning, so it is not a full safety net.

Blast Protection with Explosion-proof Jacket

Equip the Explosion-proof Jacket to reduce or negate explosion damage from creepers, TNT, and ghast fireballs. This is extremely useful when mining with TNT or fighting creepers in tight spaces. It does not stop the knockback, so you can still be launched off a cliff.

Tips

• Wear both trinkets when exploring the Nether: fire resistance for lava, blast protection for ghast fireballs.
• Fire resistance does not prevent the fire visual or the damage from standing in lava too long in some versions, so do not treat it as invincibility.
• Combine with water breathing trinkets for full environmental coverage.
