How to Add a Custom Crop with Mystical Customization

Create the JSON File

Mystical Customization reads crop definitions from JSON files placed in the config/mysticalcustomization/crops/ folder inside your instance. Create a new .json file there — the filename becomes the crop's registry name, so name it something like my_crop.json. Each file defines one crop.

Fill In the Crop Fields

A crop definition needs a name, a tier (referencing a tier defined in the tiers folder), a type (referencing a type in the types folder), and the outputs it produces. You specify the seed item, the essence item, and any extra drops. The mod also lets you set growth properties like growthTicks and growthModifier, plus a color for the crop's appearance. If you want the crop to drop its essence when harvested, list it under the outputs section. Reference the existing default crops shipped with Mystical Agriculture as templates — copy one, rename it, and edit the values rather than starting from a blank file.

Reload and Test

After saving, run /reload in-game (or restart) so the mod re-reads the config. Check that the crop appears in JEI and that its seed can be crafted or obtained. If it does not show up, the JSON is likely malformed — validate it with a JSON linter and check the log for parse errors naming your file.
