Play Custom Music from Your Mod Pack
Setting Up Music Files
MusicLayer Mod allows other mods in your pack to trigger custom soundtracks automatically. You don't need to configure anything yourself—the mod works silently in the background.
When a mod that depends on MusicLayer is installed, it will:
- Load music files from its own resource folders
- Stream audio without causing game lag or stuttering
- Handle all playback through MusicLayer's audio layer
Verifying It's Working
Check that MusicLayer is loaded by opening your mods list in-game. If music plays during specific mod events (boss fights, menu screens, or special moments) without freezing your game, MusicLayer is functioning correctly.
If you notice stuttering or lag when music plays, ensure your system has adequate RAM allocated to Minecraft. MusicLayer streams efficiently, but background processing still requires resources.
Supported Audio Format
MusicLayer plays Ogg Vorbis audio files (.ogg). Other mods using this framework will only trigger music in this format. If a mod author provides custom music, it will be in the correct format already.
