Set Up a Sound System with Speakers and Boomboxes
Place Speakers and Boomboxes
Speakers and Boomboxes (both retextured with updated visuals) project music throughout your builds. Speakers work best for ambient sound in large areas, while Boomboxes are portable and compact.
Configure Your Audio Setup
1. Place Speakers or Boomboxes in desired locations
2. Right-click to open the control interface
3. Link them to a Golden Jukebox or insert discs directly
4. Adjust volume and playback settings using the interface buttons
5. Test the sound range and coverage
Design Considerations
- Speakers placed diagonally keep their original texture (this is generated by the game's code)
- Boombox menus retain base buttons due to hardcoded mod controls—these won't change despite the retexture
- Position multiple speakers strategically to cover large builds like concert halls or nightclubs
- The retextured inventory sprites for Boomboxes appear as clean 2D icons, making them easy to identify in creative mode
Aesthetic Integration
The refreshed block textures blend naturally with standard Minecraft builds. Arrange speakers and boomboxes alongside the retextured Disc Pedestals for a cohesive sound system appearance.
