Using Sign Portals to Build a Fast Travel Hub
Planning the Hub Layout
A travel hub is a room or platform filled with signs, each pointing to a different world or landmark. Pick a central, protected location — near spawn is ideal — and build a wall or floor of solid blocks where you can mount signs. Decide on your destinations first: main world spawn, resource worlds, minigame arenas, player bases, and any Nether or End locations you want quick access to. Group related signs together and label the area with plain decorative signs so players know what each row does.
Mounting and Testing Each Sign
For every destination, place a sign on a solid block, right-click, and enter the world name plus coordinates if you want an exact landing spot. Watch for green text on each one before moving to the next. If a sign turns red, fix the world name or coordinates immediately rather than leaving a broken sign in the hub. Once all signs are green, walk through each one yourself to verify the landing spots are safe — no lava, no void, no suffocation inside
blocks. Adjust coordinates as needed and re-save. Finally, protect the hub from griefing so players can't break or edit your signs, and consider adding a return sign at each destination so travel works both ways.
