How to Redirect a Nether Portal to a Custom Destination
Attaching the Sign to the Portal
Instead of letting a Nether portal send players to the usual Nether coordinates, you can override its destination. Build or find your existing Nether portal, then place a sign directly on one of the portal's frame blocks (the obsidian, or the block the portal is mounted on, depending on your setup). Right-click the sign and enter the destination you want — a Multiverse world name, and optionally coordinates for a precise landing point.
Reading the Color Feedback
After saving, check the sign text. Green means the portal is now linked to your chosen destination and will send anyone who steps through to that location instead of the default Nether. Red means the destination couldn't be resolved — recheck the spelling of the world name and make sure that world is loaded by Multiverse. If the sign stays red, the portal will keep behaving normally, so there's no risk of breaking it. Once it's green, walk through the portal to confirm the new destination, and remember that both the entry portal and any linked exit portal may need signs if you want two-way control.
