How to Share Inventories Between Specific Worlds Only
Why Group Worlds Together
Server owners often run multiple related worlds — for example, a main survival world and a resource world — where players should keep the same items when traveling between them. Grouping these worlds makes them behave as one inventory space while keeping everything else separate.
Step-by-Step Group Creation
1. Decide which worlds should share. For example, survival and resources.
2. Create the group: /mvinv group create shared.
3. Add each world: /mvinv group add shared survival and /mvinv group add shared resources.
4. Check the result with /mvinv group list.
Now a player who mines in the resource world and returns to survival keeps everything they gathered.
Choosing What Gets Shared
Within a group you can independently enable or disable sharing for inventory contents, armor, experience levels, health, and hunger. Use the group edit interface to toggle these. A common setup is to share inventory and experience but keep health and hunger separate, so players can't carry a full hunger bar into a hardcore-style world.
Adding More Worlds Later
You can add additional worlds to an existing group at any time with the same group add command. Removing a world from the group immediately reverts it to isolated behavior — players will find their group inventory replaced by whatever that world had stored previously. Always warn players before restructuring groups on a live server.
