How to Set Up Separate Inventories Per World with Multiverse-Inventories

Understanding the Default Behavior

By default, Multiverse-Inventories keeps inventories separate across worlds unless you tell it otherwise. This means a player who joins a survival world and then teleports to a creative world will arrive with an empty inventory. The plugin hooks into Multiverse-Core, so any world you've already created with that plugin is automatically recognized.

Creating and Managing World Groups

The core concept you need to understand is the world group. A world group is a collection of worlds that share the same inventory, health, hunger, and experience. Worlds not in any group stay isolated.

1. Create a new group with /mvinv group create <groupname>.

2. Add worlds to that group with /mvinv group add <groupname> <worldname>. You can add multiple worlds to the same group.

3. To remove a world from a group, use /mvinv group remove <groupname> <worldname>.

4. To delete an entire group, use /mvinv group delete <groupname>.

Once worlds are grouped, players moving between those worlds keep the same inventory. Worlds outside the group remain separate.

Toggling Specific Shares

You don't have to share everything. The plugin lets you control which aspects are shared within a group — inventory, experience, health, hunger, and armor can each be toggled independently. Use the group edit commands to enable or disable specific sharing options for each group. This is useful if you want two survival worlds to share items but keep separate health, for example.
