How to Spawn and Configure a CP 2600 Locomotive

Spawning the Locomotive

Use the MTR4 mod's train spawning system to place a CP 2600 electric locomotive on your tracks. Access the train configuration menu and select the CP 2600 from the available locomotives list. Ensure your track is properly laid and powered with the 25 kV electric system that these locomotives require.

Choosing Your Paint Scheme

The CP 2600 supports multiple liveries representing different eras of Portuguese rail history. When configuring your locomotive, you can select between the classic 1970s orange paint job or more modern color schemes. This choice is purely cosmetic and doesn't affect performance.

Connecting ARCO Coaches

Once your locomotive is placed, attach ARCO passenger coaches to create a complete train consist. You can mix 1st and 2nd class coaches in any order. Use the MTR4 coupling system to link cars together, ensuring proper electrical connections for powered features like interior lighting and air conditioning systems.

Testing Your Setup

Before running passengers, test your train on a short section of track to verify all coaches are properly coupled and the locomotive responds to controls correctly.
