How to Summon and Defeat the Frostmaw (Eye of Frost)

Finding and Using the Eye of Frost

The Eye of Frost is one of the boss-summoning eyes added by Mowzie's Cataclysm. To use it, you need to locate the Frostmaw's arena, which generates in snowy or icy biomes as a large circular structure with a central pedestal. Once you've found the arena, hold the Eye of Frost and right-click on the central pedestal block to activate the summoning ritual. The Frostmaw will rise from the ground shortly after.

Fighting the Frostmaw

The Frostmaw is a large ice-themed boss that uses sweeping melee attacks and can freeze the ground around it. Keep moving to avoid its charge attacks, and watch for the ice patches it leaves behind — standing on them slows you down. Ranged weapons and fire-based enchantments help here. After defeating it, the Frostmaw drops unique loot including materials used for crafting frost-themed gear. Bring a full set of armor and plenty of food, as the fight can be lengthy. If you die, the Eye of Frost is consumed, so you'll need to craft another one to retry.
