How to Reset Subtitles Back to the Default Position
Restore the Vanilla Anchor
If you have moved subtitles somewhere you no longer like, open the Move Subtitles config file and set the position back to the anchor that matches vanilla behavior — the bottom-center area, which corresponds to the BOTTOM default position. Then reset deltaX and deltaY to zero so no offset is applied on top of the anchor. Save the file and restart the game.
Delete the Config to Start Fresh
If you have lost track of what you changed, the simplest reset is to delete the Move Subtitles config file entirely and relaunch the game. The mod regenerates a fresh config with its default values on startup, returning subtitles to their original placement. This is useful when experimenting with many delta values has left the file in a confusing state.
Confirm the Reset
After restarting, trigger a subtitle in-game and check that it appears in the default location. If it does not, make sure you deleted or edited the config for the correct instance — players running multiple instances often edit the wrong folder. Also confirm the game was fully restarted, since placement is only read at launch. Once subtitles are back to normal, you can begin adjusting again from a clean baseline if you want to try a new position.
