How to Move Subtitles to a Different Part of the Screen
Open the Config File
Move Subtitles Mod does not use an in-game settings menu for placement. All positioning happens through its config file, which is generated the first time you launch the game with the mod installed. Navigate to your Minecraft instance's config folder and open the Move Subtitles config file with any plain text editor. If you cannot find it, launch the game once, close it, and check again — the file is created on first run.
Choose a Default Position
Inside the config you will find a setting for the subtitle position. It accepts the eight built-in anchors: TOP LEFT, TOP, TOP RIGHT, LEFT, RIGHT, BOTTOM LEFT, BOTTOM, and BOTTOM RIGHT. Change the value to whichever anchor you want, save the file, and restart the game. Subtitles will now render from that corner or edge instead of the vanilla bottom-center spot.
Verify the Change
Join any world and trigger a subtitle — for example, walk near a mob or play a sound that produces one. The text should appear at your chosen anchor. If it looks unchanged, double-check that you edited the correct config file for the correct instance and that you fully restarted the game rather than just reloading a world. Config changes are read at startup, so a full restart is required for the new position to take effect.
