How to Fine-Tune Subtitle Position with deltaX and deltaY

Understand the Offset Values

The eight default positions only get you to the edges and corners of the screen. To nudge subtitles away from those anchors, the config exposes deltaX and deltaY values. These are offsets applied on top of the chosen default position, letting you push subtitles inward, outward, up, or down by a precise amount. Think of the default position as your starting corner and the deltas as the distance you move from it.

Apply an Offset

Open the config file and set your base position first, then edit deltaX and deltaY. Increasing deltaX shifts subtitles horizontally and increasing deltaY shifts them vertically, relative to the anchor you picked. Save the file and restart the game. Because the deltas stack on top of the anchor, the same delta value produces a different on-screen result depending on which default position you selected — so always set the anchor before tuning the offsets.

Tune by Iteration

There is no live preview, so expect to adjust in small steps. Change one value at a time, restart, and check the result in-game with a subtitle on screen. If subtitles drift off-screen entirely, reduce the magnitude of the delta or switch to a more central anchor. Keep notes on the values you settle on so you can restore them if you change resolution or GUI scale later.
