Customize Tooltips and Inventory Display

Understanding Tooltip Styling

Motifity's GUI includes fresh, simplified tooltips that appear when you hover over items in your inventory. These are styled to match the dark theme and reduce visual clutter.

Modifying Tooltip Appearance

Tooltip styling is controlled through texture files and JSON configuration in the resource pack. To customize:

Locate the tooltip texture files in assets/minecraft/textures/gui/
Edit colors and backgrounds to match your preference
Adjust text rendering settings if available in JSON files

Inventory Screen Customization

The inventory background, slot textures, and item display can all be modified. Edit the main inventory texture file to change background darkness or slot appearance. The crafting table tooltip shown in screenshots demonstrates how item information displays with the dark theme.

Applying Changes

Save your edits and reload the resource pack. Open your inventory to preview tooltip and display changes. Hover over various items to ensure tooltips render correctly with your customizations.
