Restrict Crafting to Specific Dimensions

Locking Recipes to Dimensions

Dimension requirements prevent players from crafting or upgrading equipment outside their intended dimension. This is ideal for mod packs with dimensional progression—requiring players to reach the Nether or End before accessing certain upgrades.

Configuration Steps

1. Locate the requirement configuration for your schematic or effect

2. Add a dimension requirement condition

3. Specify the dimension using its registry name (e.g., minecraft:the_nether, minecraft:the_end)

4. You can allow multiple dimensions by listing them together

5. Place your workstation in the correct dimension and verify the restriction works

Practical Uses

  • Gate powerful upgrades behind End access
  • Create Nether-exclusive crafting tiers
  • Combine with advancement checks to create multi-stage progression
  • Use alongside biome requirements for even tighter control

Players cannot bypass this by moving the workstation—the dimension check is location-based and will prevent crafting if conditions aren't met.
