How to Farm Zombie Villagers for Curing and Trading

Why Farm Them

Zombie villagers are valuable because you can cure them into normal villagers with a golden apple and a splash potion of Weakness. Cured villagers give permanent discounts on trades, so having a reliable supply matters. With this mod raising the spawn rate, farming becomes far more practical than in vanilla.

Building a Simple Farm

1. Dig or build a dark room (light level 0) at least a few blocks tall, ideally underground or fully enclosed so no daylight reaches it.

2. Leave a spawning floor of solid blocks. Zombies, including zombie villagers, spawn on valid opaque blocks in darkness.

3. Add a collection method: water streams that push mobs into a central drop, or a simple pit they fall into. A two-block-deep hole with a trapdoor works for manual collection.

4. Keep the room within the mob cap range of your AFK spot so spawns keep happening.

Sorting and Curing

Separate zombie villagers from regular zombies using a name tag, a lead, or a boat to move them. Trap the zombie villager in a safe enclosure, apply Weakness, then feed it a golden apple. Once cured, it becomes a normal villager you can trade with or move into a trading hall. Because the mod makes them four times more common by default, you'll fill a curing station much faster than in vanilla.
