Data Pack Mechanics

This data pack adds four new painting designs to Minecraft without requiring a resource pack. The paintings are integrated into the vanilla painting system, meaning they use standard Minecraft painting mechanics and don't require special installation steps beyond enabling the data pack.

Randomization and Selection

When you place a painting, the game randomly selects from all available designs—both vanilla and the four new ones. You cannot control which specific painting appears when you place it. This means you may need to place multiple paintings to get your desired artwork.

Compatibility

The new paintings work on any world or server running the data pack. They're compatible with other decoration mods and data packs. If you disable the data pack, existing paintings remain but new ones cannot be placed.

Availability

In Creative mode, paintings are always available. In Survival mode, availability depends on your server's configuration—they may be craftable, found in loot, or obtained through other means.

No Resource Pack Required

Unlike traditional painting mods, this data pack adds new designs purely through data, making it lightweight and easy to install on servers without requiring clients to download additional files.
