Paintings Not Placing

If paintings won't place on a wall:

• Ensure the block behind is solid (not glass, leaves, or transparent blocks)
• Check that you have enough wall space—some paintings are larger than others
• Try a different wall section; certain block types may have placement issues
• Verify the painting is actually in your inventory (not just in a chest)

Paintings Look Wrong or Aren't Showing New Designs

If you're only seeing vanilla paintings:

• Confirm the data pack is active in your world settings
• Check the data pack load order—it should load after vanilla content
• Break and replace the painting; designs are randomized on placement
• Restart your game to ensure the data pack fully loads

Performance Issues

If placing many paintings causes lag:

• This is rare, but reduce the number of paintings in one area
• Paintings have minimal performance impact compared to other decorations

Missing Paintings in Creative

If new paintings don't appear in Creative inventory:

• Verify the data pack is enabled in world settings
• Restart the game completely
• Check that you're looking in the Decorations tab where paintings are grouped
