Why Deep Dark is Prime Territory

The Deep Dark biome features approximately 160% increased fossil spawn rates compared to other biomes. This makes it the single best location for fossil collectors, though it requires preparation and caution.

Preparation and Safety

Before entering the Deep Dark, equip yourself with:

• Strong armor and weapons
• Plenty of food and healing items
• Blocks for building escape routes
• Torches or other light sources

The Deep Dark is home to the Warden and Sculk blocks that trigger it. Mine carefully and avoid vibrations to prevent alerting the Warden.

Efficient Fossil Extraction

Once you've located fossils, use a pickaxe to extract them. The increased spawn rate means you can gather multiple fossils in a single Deep Dark expedition. Consider marking promising areas with torches so you can return safely if needed.

The risk-reward trade-off makes Deep Dark ideal for dedicated fossil hunters willing to face greater danger for faster collection rates.
