Using Dragon Eggs as a Resource or Decoration

Once you've farmed a stack or two of eggs, you can actually put them to use. The mod itself only changes egg spawning — it doesn't add recipes — but many players pair it with other mods or use eggs purely for building.

Decoration ideas

  • Place eggs on pedestals, altars, or throne rooms as trophies.
  • Use them as accent blocks in End-themed builds alongside purpur, end stone, and obsidian.
  • Line a hallway or vault with eggs behind glass for a "trophy room" look.
  • Combine with lighting (sea lanterns, end rods) to make the egg's purple texture pop.

Using eggs as a resource

  • Some tech or magic mods accept dragon eggs in recipes or as fuel for certain machines. Check the recipe viewer (JEI/REI) in your pack to see if anything consumes them.
  • If a mod lets you break eggs down into dragon-related materials, keep a dedicated chest of eggs near that machine.
  • Because eggs are now renewable, you can freely spend them without worrying about losing your only one.

Storage tips

  • Eggs don't stack in vanilla, so plan storage with that in mind — shulker boxes or dedicated chests work well.
  • Label your egg chest so you don't accidentally use a decorative egg in a recipe.
