Adjust Cloud Layer Height and Spacing

Understanding Cloud Layer Stacking

More Cloud Layers Mod places each new cloud layer exactly 16 blocks higher than the previous one. By default, the mod generates multiple layers stacked vertically throughout your sky. The spacing between layers is fixed, but you can control how many layers appear and at what altitude they begin.

Configuring Your Cloud Setup

Access your mod configuration file (usually found in your config folder). Look for settings related to cloud layer count and starting height. Reducing the number of layers will thin out your sky, while increasing them creates a denser, more dramatic cloud effect.

If you want clouds to start higher or lower, adjust the base altitude setting. This shifts where the first additional cloud layer spawns relative to the normal Minecraft clouds.

Testing Your Changes

After modifying settings, sleep in a bed or travel through a portal to force the mod to regenerate cloud positions. This ensures your new configuration takes effect immediately. You can also rejoin your world to see the changes applied.

Experiment with different layer counts to find the visual style that suits your world best.
