Make Obsidian Tools Using Blaze Sticks

Obtain Blaze Sticks

Travel to the Nether and locate a Blaze spawner inside a fortress. Defeat blazes to collect blaze rods. Return to the Overworld and craft blaze rods into blaze sticks at a crafting table (each rod typically creates multiple sticks).

Gather Obsidian

Mine obsidian blocks using a diamond or netherite pickaxe. You'll need enough obsidian to craft your desired tools—typically 3 blocks per tool.

Craft Obsidian Tools

At a crafting table, follow standard tool recipes but substitute blaze sticks for wooden sticks:

• Pickaxe: Place 3 obsidian blocks in a row at the top, with 2 blaze sticks forming a T-shape below
• Sword: Stack 2 obsidian blocks vertically with a blaze stick below
• Axe, Shovel: Arrange obsidian and blaze sticks in their respective patterns

Obsidian tools are extremely durable and deal high damage, making them worth the Nether trip. They're particularly useful for mining hard blocks and combat situations where durability matters.
