Adjust Water Reflection Quality and Clarity

Access Shader Settings

Open the shader options menu while in-game by pressing the designated shader menu key (usually accessed through your graphics settings or mod menu). Look for the Water or Reflections category.

Configure Reflection Parameters

Moon Shaders provides several water-related settings:

  • Reflection Detail: Controls how sharp and detailed water reflections appear. Higher values show more precise reflections of trees, sky, and terrain, but may impact performance slightly.
  • Water Clarity: Adjusts transparency and how far you can see through water. Increase this to see deeper into lakes and oceans.
  • Reflection Distance: Determines how far away objects are reflected in water. Reducing this can help performance on lower-end systems.

Apply and Test

After adjusting settings, walk to a nearby water body to preview changes in real-time. Reflections update immediately as you modify values. If reflections look too intense or washed out, fine-tune the clarity slider. For best results on slower computers, reduce reflection detail while keeping clarity moderate for a balanced look.
