How to Stop Wasting Time Searching for Hidden Mobs Before Sleeping

The Problem the Mod Solves

Normally, when a bed refuses to work, you have to guess whether the culprit is a zombie in a wall, a creeper in a cave below, or something on the roof. The mod removes that guesswork by highlighting the exact mobs responsible.

A Reliable Sleep-Check Routine

1. Build your bed in a spot you can defend, ideally with clear sightlines.

2. Before sleeping, equip a weapon and place torches or a light source nearby.

3. Right-click the bed. If sleep succeeds, you are done.

4. If it fails, immediately look for the glow and mark the direction mentally.

5. Move toward the glow, light the area, and eliminate the mob.

6. Return to the bed and try again.

Reducing Repeat Failures

  • Seal off caves and gaps under your base so mobs cannot spawn close enough to block sleep.
  • Light up the area around and above your bed.
  • Use the highlight as a diagnostic: if the same spot keeps glowing, that is where mobs are spawning.

This turns a frustrating guessing game into a quick, repeatable check.
