Setting Up Configurations
Using Monkey Utils for Mod Config
Monkey Utils Mod provides a configuration system for mod developers using Kotlin. It wraps the Night Config library to read and write configuration files in TOML, JSON, and HOCON formats.
When a mod built on Monkey Utils runs, it automatically processes its config files during startup. You can modify these files directly to change mod settings. The mod also registers in-game commands that link to configuration options, letting you adjust settings without restarting.
Permission nodes are assigned to both config settings and commands, so server administrators can control which players access which features. This keeps file management organized and lets dependent mods register their systems quickly without duplicating setup code.
