Set Up Quick Hotkeys for Manual Recording

Bind Your Recording Keys

Open your Minecraft controls menu and search for Momentum Capture Engine keybinds. You'll find separate bindings for Start Recording and Stop Recording. Assign these to keys you can reach quickly during combat—many players use side mouse buttons or nearby keyboard keys like R and T.

Test Your Setup

Enter a world and press your Start Recording key. You should hear a sound effect and see action bar text confirming the recording has begun. Press Stop Recording to end it. The replay file saves automatically to your Flashback replay folder.

Tips for Combat

Bind your keys before entering PvP or dangerous situations. Consider using keys that don't conflict with your sprint, jump, or attack binds. Practice pressing them without looking so you can focus on the fight itself. If you accidentally start recording, stopping and restarting costs minimal storage since the mod only captures action moments.
