Safely Bridge to Nearby Islands
Plan Your Route
Stand at the edge of your island and identify the nearest floating landmass. Estimate the distance—start with shorter gaps until you're confident in your building speed and accuracy. Never attempt long bridges without practice.
Build Methodically
Place blocks one at a time, always standing on solid ground. Move forward only after confirming each new block is secure. Use cobblestone or another non-flammable material—wood burns if it contacts lava. Consider building your bridge slightly wider than one block for safety margins.
Prevent Falls
Add railings or walls on both sides of your bridge, especially for longer crossings. This protects you from knockback and accidental missteps. Leave gaps in railings only where necessary for resource collection.
Test Before Committing
Build a short test bridge first. Walk it several times to practice your movement and timing. Only extend further once you've proven you can cross without panic or mistakes. Speed comes with experience—patience keeps you alive.
