Build Your First Cobblestone Generator
Gather Your Materials
Collect water and lava from your starting island. You'll need a bucket or container to transport at least one source block of each. Check your initial chest for buckets—they're essential for this task.
Set Up the Generator
Find a safe, flat area away from your main platform edges. Dig a small trench or channel at least 2 blocks deep. Place your lava source on one side and water source on the opposite side, allowing them to flow toward each other. Where they meet, cobblestone will form.
Harvest Safely
Use a pickaxe to mine the cobblestone as it generates. Stand on solid ground and never reach over the lava—one slip means falling into the burning sea below. Consider building a small protective wall around your generator to prevent accidental knockback into the lava.
Expand Production
Once comfortable, create multiple generators side-by-side to increase your cobblestone output. This gives you unlimited building blocks for expanding your island and creating bridges to other floating landmasses.
