How to Set Up Your First Force Field Projector

Placing and Powering the Projector

Place a Force Field Projector facing the area you want to protect. It needs Fortron energy to run, so connect it to a Fortron Capacitor or Coercion Deriver using the mod's own power network. The projector will not function without a Fortron supply, so build your generation first.

Linking a Frequency Card

Craft a Frequency Card and right-click the projector with it to bind the card to that projector's frequency. You can then use the card on other machines (like an Interdiction Matrix or Biometric Identifier) to keep them on the same network. Without a bound card, the projector still works but cannot be coordinated with other field machines.

Choosing a Shape and Turning It On

Open the projector's GUI. Select a shape from the mode options — Cube Mode, Sphere Mode, Dome Mode, Cylinder Mode, Pyramid Mode, or Custom Mode. Set the dimensions and offset, then apply a Scale Module if you want to resize the field without rebuilding. Insert upgrade modules into the projector's module slots to change behaviour (for example Camouflage Module to disguise the field, Glow Module for visibility, or Sponge Module to clear fluids inside). Apply a redstone signal or toggle the GUI switch to activate the field. If nothing appears, check Fortron reserves and confirm the projector has line of sight to the target volume.
