How to Power Force Fields With Fortron Energy
Generating Fortron
Force fields run on Fortron, produced by a Coercion Deriver. Place the Deriver and give it a redstone signal or GUI toggle to start converting input into Fortron. It outputs Fortron into adjacent Fortron Capacitors, which act as buffers. Capacitors store Fortron and distribute it to connected machines.
Wiring Projectors and Matrices
Connect your Force Field Projector and Interdiction Matrix to the Capacitor network. Each machine draws Fortron while active; larger fields and more modules increase the draw. If the network cannot keep up, fields flicker or shut off. Add more Capacitors to smooth out spikes, and add more Derivers if sustained output is too low.
Capacity and Efficiency Modules
Insert a Capacity Module into a machine to increase how much Fortron it can hold locally, which helps ride out brief supply gaps. A Speed Module changes how quickly the machine operates, which can affect Fortron consumption — test the effect on your setup rather than assuming. For testing or creative builds, an Infinite Power Card can be placed in a machine to remove its Fortron requirement entirely. In survival, monitor your Capacitor levels during a raid or a large field activation; if they hit zero, the field drops and your base is exposed.
