Checking for Updates

Modernity is actively maintained with updates that add new textures, fix compatibility issues, and adapt to new Minecraft versions. Periodically check the official distribution channels for newer versions.

Backing Up Your World

Before updating:

1. Create a backup of your world folder

2. Note any custom texture modifications you've made

3. Close Minecraft completely

Installing a New Version

1. Download the latest version from the official source

2. Remove the old Modernity pack from your resource packs folder

3. Extract and place the new version in the same location

4. Launch Minecraft and reload resource packs (F3 + T)

5. Verify that textures load correctly in your world

Preserving Customizations

If you've modified textures, document which files you changed. After updating, you may need to reapply customizations to the new version's files, as pack updates can reorganize or replace texture files.
