Optimize Performance With Texture Settings

Understanding Pack Size and Impact

Modernity is designed to be lightweight and clean, minimizing performance impact compared to heavy texture packs. However, resource packs still consume memory and can affect frame rates on lower-end systems.

Adjusting Video Settings

To maintain smooth gameplay:

1. Open Options > Video Settings

2. Lower Mipmap Levels if you experience lag (this reduces texture detail at distance)

3. Adjust Anisotropic Filtering if your GPU supports it

4. Disable Fancy Graphics if needed

Managing Multiple Packs

If you're using Modernity alongside other packs, load only the ones you need. Remove or disable texture packs you're not actively using from the resource packs folder.

Testing Performance

Load a world and monitor your frame rate using the F3 debug screen. If performance drops significantly, try disabling optional texture variants or reducing your render distance. Modernity's clean aesthetic means you can often maintain good visuals even with performance optimizations enabled.
