Selecting Your Generation Type

Moderner Beta Mod offers multiple world generation presets that recreate terrain from different Minecraft eras. When creating a new world, you'll find generation options in the world creation screen.

How to Choose

1. Start a new world and look for the World Type or Generator dropdown menu

2. Select from available classic generation presets (such as Beta, Alpha, or other legacy versions)

3. Each preset changes how terrain, biomes, and features generate

4. Some presets may have additional settings—explore the options menu to customize terrain scale, feature frequency, or biome distribution

5. Create the world and spawn in

What to Expect

Different generation types produce noticeably different landscapes. Beta-era generation typically features steeper hills, simpler biome transitions, and different ore distribution compared to modern Minecraft. Experiment with each type to find the nostalgic experience you prefer. You can always create another world to try a different preset without affecting your current save.
