How to Use Borderless Fullscreen and Framerate Limiting
Modern UI adds window modes beyond vanilla's fullscreen toggle, plus a framerate limiter that kicks in when the game window loses focus — useful for alt-tabbing without burning GPU time.
Switching Window Mode
Open the Modern UI settings and locate the window or display section. You will find options for borderless fullscreen and maximized borderless in addition to the normal windowed and fullscreen modes. Borderless fullscreen fills the screen without the exclusive-fullscreen mode switch, which makes alt-tabbing much faster. Maximized borderless behaves like a maximized window that still respects your desktop. Pick the mode you want; the window changes immediately. If the game ends up on the wrong monitor, move the window first, then re-select the mode.
Limiting Framerate When Unfocused
In the same settings area, enable the option that limits framerate while the window is not active, then set the limit value. When you click away to another application, the game drops to that framerate instead of rendering at full speed. This reduces heat and fan noise while you are browsing or watching something.
Notes
These settings are stored per profile, so different instances can use different window modes.
