How to Change the Font in Modern UI Mod
Modern UI replaces Minecraft's default bitmap font with a TrueType/OpenType font system, so you can swap the typeface used everywhere in the game — menus, chat, tooltips and signs.
Adding and Selecting a Font
Open the Modern UI settings from the mod's own options entry (usually reachable from the main Options screen or via the mod list). Go to the font section. You can point the mod at a font file already present on your system, or drop a .ttf/.otf file into the mod's font folder and reload the font list from the settings page. Once the font appears, select it and the preview updates immediately — no restart needed. Adjust the font size slider if the new typeface renders larger or smaller than the default.
Fixing Common Problems
If characters show as boxes, the chosen font is missing those glyphs — pick a font with wider Unicode coverage. If text looks blurry, raise the font size slightly rather than scaling the GUI, since Modern UI renders text at the requested size. If you dislike the result, switch back to the default font entry in the same list; nothing is overwritten permanently.
Using Emoji in Chat
Because the mod supports Unicode emoji, you can type shortcodes in chat and they render as emoji. Check the emoji picker in the settings to see the available shortcodes.
