Installing Modern Networking Mod

Installation

Modern Networking Mod is a library that other mods depend on—it doesn't add gameplay features itself. Install it like any other mod by placing the file in your mods folder.

Choose the library version that matches your game version. Each library file supports a range of updates: the 1.18.2 version works from 1.18.2 through 1.20.1, the 1.20.4 version covers 1.20.2 to 1.20.4, the 1.20.6 version supports 1.20.5 to 1.20.6, and the 1.21.1 version works for 1.21 and newer.

Once installed, it runs silently in the background. You'll notice its effect when using other mods on multiplayer servers—data transfers between players work smoothly without connection errors.
