Use the FPS Counter to Monitor Game Performance

Enabling the FPS Display

Open /keystrokes and toggle the FPS counter on. This adds a frames per second readout to your keystrokes display, showing your current game performance in real time.

Understanding FPS Changes

Watch how your FPS fluctuates as you move through different areas of your world. FPS typically drops when you're near complex structures, in heavily populated areas, or during intense visual effects. The display updates constantly so you can see performance dips immediately.

Optimizing Based on Feedback

If you notice your FPS dropping significantly in certain locations, you can take action:

  • Reduce render distance or graphics settings
  • Move away from lag-causing areas
  • Close other applications running in the background

Positioning the Counter

Place the FPS counter in a corner where you can glance at it without distraction. Many players keep it in the top-right or top-left corner, away from their main field of view. This lets you monitor performance while staying focused on gameplay.
