How to Check Mod Details and Available Updates

Viewing Mod Details

Open the mod list and click any mod to expand it. The details panel shows the mod's description, its author, and helpful links such as its project page or issue tracker. This is the quickest way to confirm what a mod does and who made it without leaving the game. Scroll within the panel if the description is long.

Checking for Updates

Mod Menu can check whether newer versions of your mods are available. When an update exists, the affected mod is flagged in the list so you can spot it at a glance. Look for an indicator on the mod's row or within its expanded details. You can also trigger an update check from the mod list screen if the option is present. The check compares your installed versions against the latest ones the mod is aware of.

Acting on What You Find

When a mod is flagged as outdated, note its name and the version shown, then use the links in its details panel to find the current release. Because Mod Menu only reports availability, you still download and swap the file yourself. After updating, reopen the mod list to confirm the flag is gone. Keeping an eye on these flags helps you avoid bugs that newer versions have already fixed.
