Set up your first mob grinder with Mob Grinding Utils
Gathering the basics
Before you start, you'll need to locate and craft the core grinding blocks from Mob Grinding Utils. These machines form the foundation of any mob farm. Collect the necessary materials and craft your first grinder block—this is where mobs will be processed.
Building your grinder structure
Place your grinder block in a location where mobs can fall into it or be funneled toward it. Most grinders work best when positioned below a mob spawning area or at the end of a mob collection channel. Connect any fluid tanks or collection systems nearby using the mod's pipes or direct adjacency, depending on the block type.
Make sure your grinder has access to the resources it needs—whether that's water, lava, or specific mob types. Test the setup by spawning or leading a mob into the grinding area. Watch for output items or fluids to confirm it's working.
Optimizing your farm
Once running, monitor the output and adjust mob flow if needed. You can expand by adding more grinders in parallel or upgrading individual machines with enhancement items the mod provides. Keep tanks clear of overflow by routing outputs to storage or processing systems.
