Disable Ghast Fireball Destruction

Stop Ghasts from Destroying Blocks and Starting Fires

Ghasts in the Nether fire explosive projectiles that destroy blocks and ignite fires. This mod lets you neutralize this threat while keeping Ghasts present.

Turn Off Ghast Griefing

Type this command in chat:

`

/gamerule mob_explosion_griefing:ghast_griefing false

`

Confirm with Enter.

What Changes

Ghast fireballs will no longer destroy blocks or start fires when they hit terrain or structures. Ghasts still spawn and attack players normally—their projectiles just become cosmetic threats rather than structural hazards.

Practical Benefits

This is essential for Nether bases, bridges, and farms. You can build freely in the Nether without worrying about Ghast fireballs dismantling your work. The explosions still appear and sound effects play, maintaining the atmosphere.

Re-enable Ghast Destruction

To restore normal Ghast behavior:

`

/gamerule mob_explosion_griefing:ghast_griefing true

`

Use this setting when building in the Nether or protecting valuable structures from environmental hazards.
