Prevent Mobs from Spawning in Specific Biomes

Using Spawn Blocking Rules

The Mob Control Mod lets you deny spawning for any mob type in particular biomes. This is useful for keeping your base biome free of threats or creating themed survival zones.

Steps

1. Open your mod's configuration file (typically in the config folder)

2. Locate or create a rule for the mob you want to block (e.g., Creeper, Zombie)

3. Add a biome condition to the rule and set it to exclude or deny the biome you want to protect

4. Specify the biome by name (e.g., minecraft:forest, minecraft:desert)

5. Save the config and reload your world or server

Testing Your Changes

No mobs of that type should appear. If they still spawn, double-check the biome name spelling and ensure the rule is correctly formatted in your config file.

You can block multiple biomes in a single rule by adding multiple biome conditions, or create separate rules for finer control over spawn rates in different regions.
