Using Mixson Mod for Runtime Resource Changes
How Runtime Resource Modification Works
Mixson Mod is a library that enables other mods to modify textures, models, and asset paths while Minecraft is running—without restarting or editing files. Instead of permanent file changes, modifications happen dynamically during gameplay.
You can change individual item textures and 3D models using simple event-based rules. The mod also supports group matching, letting you update multiple related items at once. For example, compatible mods can reference textures from one item and apply them to another.
Mixson runs silently in the background as a shared library. If a mod you use supports it, visual tweaks happen automatically. This approach keeps modifications fast and clean, avoiding complex file rewrites.
