Troubleshoot Mod Conflicts Using Crash Logs

Understanding Mixin Conflicts

When two mods inject code into the same Minecraft class, they can conflict. MixinTrace Reloaded shows you exactly which mods are touching the same code, making conflicts visible.

Steps to Resolve Conflicts

1. Locate the Mixins in Stacktrace section in your crash report

2. Identify which Minecraft classes appear multiple times (e.g., the same net.minecraft.class_XXX listed twice)

3. Note the mod names from the mixin JSON files for each duplicate

4. Check if these mods have known compatibility issues (search forums or mod pages)

5. Try these solutions in order:

  • Update both mods to their latest versions
  • Adjust mod load order if your launcher supports it
  • Check if one mod has a compatibility patch for the other
  • Disable one mod temporarily to confirm it's the cause

6. Re-test after each change and check the new crash log

If the same class keeps appearing in crashes, that's your conflict zone. Document which mods touch it and prioritize updating or replacing them.
