How the Missing Mods Checker Works

The Missing Mods Checker Mod runs a validation pass before Minecraft finishes loading. It compares the mods present in your instance against the list the modpack expects. If anything required is absent, the game stops and a pop-up window appears listing every missing mod.

Each entry in that window has a Download button. Clicking it opens the matching download page in your browser so you can grab the file directly. This makes the mod useful for modpack creators who want to stop core mods from being deleted by accident, and for keeping everyone on the exact same version of a mod.

The checker also handles optional mods. On first launch it can ask whether you want to add them, letting new players choose without hunting through files. Once everything required is present, the normal game launch continues.
