When you move, a shadow clone spawns behind you after a delay, copying your exact path and appearance. Touching this clone deals heavy damage or kills you instantly depending on difficulty.

Survival Tips

Keep moving forward in open spaces to maintain distance from your trailing duplicate. Avoid backtracking into tight corridors or enclosed areas where your clone is actively walking—this is the easiest way to collide with it. In multiplayer, each player has their own independent shadow, so you won't interfere with others' clones.

Difficulty Considerations

Easy mode reduces contact damage, making mistakes less punishing. Higher difficulties spawn multiple shadows and reduce spawn delays, forcing you to move more carefully and plan routes ahead.
