Adjust Ambient Lighting to Match Your Playstyle
Access Shader Settings
Open your shader options menu while in-game. You'll find the ambient lighting controls in the main settings panel. MINOPZ provides sliders and toggles to customize how bright or dim your world feels during different times of day.
Fine-Tune Ambient Values
Start by adjusting the overall ambient brightness slider. Lower values create a moodier, more dramatic atmosphere with deeper shadows—ideal for survival or horror builds. Higher values brighten shadowed areas, making exploration easier and giving a more cheerful feel.
Next, look for separate controls for day and night ambient levels. This lets you maintain visibility during night without washing out the day's contrast. Experiment with the shadow intensity slider to control how dark unlit areas become.
Test Your Changes
Move between different biomes and times of day to see how your settings affect various lighting scenarios. Pay attention to how caves, forests, and open areas look. Save your preferred configuration so you can quickly switch between setups for different playstyles or building projects.
Remember that ambient settings interact with MINOPZ's fantasy-realism blend, so changes may shift the overall mood more dramatically than in other shaders.
