Enhance Emissive Block Glow

Identify Emissive Blocks

Emissive blocks in MiniatureXL Shaders include glowstone, lanterns, amethyst clusters, soul lanterns, and other light-emitting blocks. These blocks naturally glow and are enhanced by the shader's emissive rendering.

Access Bloom and Glow Settings

Open your shader menu and find the Bloom, Glow, or Emissive section. This controls how brightly emissive blocks shine and how far their glow spreads into surrounding areas.

Adjust Bloom Intensity

Increase the bloom value to make glowing blocks appear brighter and more luminous, creating a halo effect around them. Decrease it for a more restrained, vanilla-like appearance. Test different values in a dark area surrounded by glowstone or lanterns.

Combine with Colored Lighting

Emissive glows work best when paired with colored lighting. A blue soul lantern will emit both a glow and a blue tint to nearby blocks. Adjust both settings together for cohesive lighting.

Verify Performance

High bloom values can impact frame rate on weaker systems. If you notice stuttering, reduce bloom slightly while keeping the visual effect you want.
