Parse a message with placeholders for another player

Checking placeholders for a specific player

You can parse messages using another player's data and context. This is helpful for testing how placeholders resolve differently for different players, or for debugging placeholder issues affecting specific users.

Steps

1. Open your chat window

2. Type the command:

`

/miniplaceholders parse player [player-name] "[your message with placeholders]"

`

3. Replace [player-name] with the exact username of the player

4. Replace [your message with placeholders] with your test message

5. Press Enter

The server will parse the message using that player's data. Placeholders that depend on player context — such as player name, level, location, or custom data — will be replaced based on that specific player's information.

Tips

  • The player must be online for player-specific placeholders to resolve correctly
  • Use this to test permission-based or player-data-based placeholders
  • Useful for verifying that placeholder values are different between players as expected
