Create Signs with Custom Text Automatically

Placing Signs via Script

Instead of manually crafting and placing signs, automate the process with Minescript.

Basic Sign Placement

1. Use world.set_block(x, y, z, "oak_sign") to place a sign block

2. Follow with world.set_sign_text(x, y, z, line1, line2, line3, line4) to add text

3. Each parameter is a string for one line of the sign

Example

`python

world.set_block(100, 65, 200, "oak_sign")

world.set_sign_text(100, 65, 200, "Welcome", "to my", "Minecraft", "world")

`

Tips

  • Sign text is limited to character length per line
  • Use different sign types: oak_sign, birch_sign, dark_oak_sign, etc.
  • Combine with loops to create sign arrays or markers
  • Test coordinates carefully—signs placed in wrong locations waste resources

This approach is ideal for creating labeled areas, waypoint markers, or decorative text installations across your world.
